Have you ever had a song stuck in your head? We've had the new Sugarland song stuck in our heads... "All I wanna do ooo ooo ooo oooo..." Why does this happen????? Why does the brain act like a broken jukebox? Researchers say that the music most likely to get lodged in the brain has a simple, catchy, repeating tune and/or lyrics. They also refer to these as "earworms". It's kind of like when you have an itch...the more you scratch, the more it itches. Some of the top earworms are:
"It's A Small World"
"The Lion Sleeps Tonight"
"Who Let The Dogs Out"
"We Will Rock You"
Now the question is... HOW DO I GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD??????? Good luck.
Comedian Gabriel Iglesias will be in tomorrow morning. He's performing at the Punch Line Thursday through Sunday.
Call 925-5500 for tickets.
Also tomorrow, listen for your chance to win tickets to see Martina McBride at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre on August 9th. We'll also have tickets to see Alison Krauss and Robert Plant at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa on October 4th.
Check out the "On Demand" section at the top of this page... you can hear favorite moments from past Pat and Tom Shows...
Have a great day!
