OK...lotta stuff to cover so I'll try to make it brief!
We had a great chat with Tim Mcgraw this morning that ended on an even cooler note with Pat offering a very special album to Tim, which Tim accepted. You can hear the whole thing in our On Demand section.
Also in On Demand, a little re-cap of our evening at last night's red carpet premiere of Experience El Dorado (www.experienceeldorado.com) at Red Hawk Casino, including another moment with the very cool Captain Phil Harris from Deadliest Catch. Pat brought his camera along and here are a couple of photos--Captain Phil as he got out of the Hummer limo, and him with some very "crabby" ladies.
We also have photos from our VIP experience winner at the event, Shanna Wetzel. Click here to see those!
We wrapped up our sign contest for our run this morning. Congratulations to Anna Marquez. She was a "shoe-in" for the four tickets to Keith Urban after bringing in this sign. Thanks to the others who took the time and effort to make signs as well: they will all be posted along my running route tomorrow as I attempt 26.2 miles on behalf of my buddy Doug and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Click Here to see all of the signs.
I'm not gonna lie... I'm a little nervous about tomorrow but have trained about as much as I can. I have some great support from friends, not the least of which is Pat, whose idea it was to do this for charity and who'll be checking in with me as the morning goes on. Jason Harper of Capital Christian Center and motivational guru Kevin Bracy will be helping me with water and whatever else I need (short of a bicycle) out on the road. And several friends will join me for company along the way, including Steve Tebbs, Kathy Rogers, Scotty Marsh, Nate Samelson and Johnny O! Their participation means the world. For a map of my route, click the link above the blog. And to find out why I'm doing it, click the link ABOVE that. And make a pledge if you're so inclined!
Due to the high volume of e-mail they receive, Pat and Tom can't promise they'll be able to respond to your e-mail personally.
As much as we would like to, neither Pat and Tom nor the radio station can assist in providing tickets or backstage passes to anyone, regardless of their personal situation, other than what we are able to give away through contests on the air.
